Conducted in the 4th semester of Visual Design in 2020.

With João Vitor "Kiko" Rossetti Alves. Supervised by Prof. Mara Martha Roberto (Supervised Internship I).

A print that brings the energy and joy of the 80s to your home! Tok&Stok, in partnership with ESPM, challenged us to create a print for their bed and table linen collection, following the principles of the Urban Kaleidocolor trend. This trend is strongly inspired by the aesthetic of the 80s and the constant mutation of images in today's world.

Working in collaboration with my friend Kiko, we dedicated ourselves to studying the trend and researching the history of the 80s, identifying the major icons of that era. Based on this, we created a semantic and graphic panel of the creative path we sought to develop. In these panels, major music figures such as Freddie Mercury and Madonna stood out, along with artist Keith Haring, who had a significant influence on the aesthetics of 80s graffiti.

From these references, we defined the theme of our print. Using the music production process, with sketches and quick strokes on sheet music, great composers immortalized not only their music but also their creative process. Seeking to convey all this expression and gestuality, I conducted some studies using black ink and a homemade pen made from popsicle sticks and sanded bamboo.

Thus, we gave birth to Groove. Just as the name suggests in jazz, a rhythm unit persistently repeated, this project seeks to reflect the rhythm and music, bringing with it the revolution generated by these great artists through the Street Art style.
